  • MASTERS - A COLLABORATION WITH JEFF KOONS

Louis Vuitton unveils the second collection of bags and accessories designed with the world-renowned contemporary artist on October 27th, 2017.

In recent years, Louis Vuitton has affirmed its engagement with the world of art through a series of high-profile collaborations with the most influential artists of our time. The second series of the Jeff Koons Masters collection builds on the well-established foundation, further exploring the intersection of fashion and art.

This month, Louis Vuitton will launch a second collection conceived with Jeff Koons. Recognized as one of the most influential living artists and based on the artist’s “Masters” series of paintings, this second chapter will debut on October 27th, which will include: Reclining Girl by François Boucher; Delightful Land by Paul Gauguin; Luncheon on the Grass by Edouard Manet; Water Lilies by Claude Monet; The Triumph of Pan by Nicolas Poussin (exclusive for Maison Louis Vuitton Vendôme) and Ancient Rome by J.m.W. Turner.

This new set of paintings relates to Koons’ connection to each of the artists. “They are part of my DNA,” Koons says “When somebody walks down the street with this bag, or sits in a cafe with this bag,” Koons says of the Manet Neverfull, “it’s communicating a love of humanism.”

Louis Vuitton's latest advertising campaign, "Spirit of Travel", at the heart of Paris.

The photographer Patrick Demarchelier has captured the essence of the Louis Vuitton woman, embodied by actress and friend of the House, Michelle Williams.

Taking its name from "Rue des Capucines" in Paris, where Louis Vuitton opened his first store in 1854, the elegant Capucines handbag is softened by a delicate and feminine cut, inspired by the lace croquets technique. A homage to exceptional leather craftsmanship.

  • FALL-WINTER 2017 COLLECTION: SIX GIRLS

    Modern sculptures

To present the Louis Vuitton Fall-Winter Collection by Nicolas Ghesquière, Yoann Lemoine, a.k.a. Woodkid, created the modern sculpture, “Six Girls.” Taking hundreds of pictures of Atty, Kristen, Mariam, Hannah, Daphne and Hoyeon, he made 3-D scans of their different forms, transforming each girl into an avatar, a video heroine of our time.  Digital glitches create an effect of erosion, like water on a stone statue.
