First presented last March at the Louvre in Paris, the Louis Vuitton Women's Fall-Winter 2019 collection expresses Nicolas Ghesquière’s interpretation of the sartorial melting pot symbolized by the Centre Pompidou Museum. With its patchwork of patterns, unexpected layerings, and bold lines, the collection takes a deliberate stylistic stand.
In this new campaign, actresses Léa Seydoux, Samara Weaving, and Zhong Chu Xi were photographed by Collier Schorr, with a cast of models preparing backstage at the Opéra Bastille in Paris. The Monogram and the Damier oscillate on accessories in equal time, introducing both new shapes as well as new iterations of existing forms. First presented last March at the Cour Carrée of the Louvre within a recreation of the Centre Pompidou, the Fall-Winter 2019 collection is one in which the debate is deliberately lively, just like the emblematic building that inspired the runway set.
