Louis Vuitton Damier

The design of Louis Vuitton’s Damier canvas was invented by Georges Vuitton in 1888. A little over a century later, the pattern was reintroduced as the Damier Ebène in 1998, and it has been one of the biggest successes of Louis Vuitton since. A wide range of Damier patterns have been designed since then: Damier Azur, Damier Graphite (for the 120th anniversary of the canvas), the embossed leather of Damier Infini, and more. The Damier pattern can be found on many iconic products, from the Neverfull, Speedy, and Alma, to other bags and wallets in both leather and canvas for men and women.
