I received a gift purchased from Louis Vuitton. Can I exchange or return it? If so, how do I proceed?
You may indeed exchange or return a Louis Vuitton item received as a gift.
Please remember to keep the original invoice or gift receipt, as well as the original packaging and documentation. These items are required for a return or exchange.
If you need to exchange your gift, you have two options depending on your preferences:
- We invite you to call our Client Services team at +1.866.VUITTON and a Client Advisor will be happy to assist you in sending the product back to us, as well as selecting the perfect new item for you.
- It is also possible to exchange a gift purchased online at any Louis Vuitton store (except Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, and Nordstrom).

Online purchases can also be returned in stores (except Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, and Nordstrom). Refunds will be made only via the same payment method used for the purchase.
PayPal purchases may only be exchanged or returned for a full refund at our online store, within thirty (30) days of the original purchase date, and when accompanied by the original sales receipt.
If your gift was purchased at a Louis Vuitton store, you may exchange or return it in-store, with the original invoice and packaging, as indicated above.
Please note that items purchased at any Louis Vuitton store location cannot be returned or exchanged online or via Client Services.
In the case of exchanging or returning a gift purchased from Louis Vuitton, please be aware that a label indicating that the gift was exchanged or returned will appear on the purchaser's My LV account.
