The Maison presents its collection of bespoke trunks designed for the world’s most prestigious sporting trophies. Perpetuating a long tradition savoir-faire, each trunk is handcrafted by Louis Vuitton’s master artisans in Asnières, just outside Paris.
Ballon D'OrTM
As the Official Trophy Trunk Partner of the Ballon d’Or™, Louis Vuitton presents two custom-made creations, designed to hold the prestigious Women’s and Men’s football player awards in – showcased on stage during the 68th ceremony on October 28th, 2024. Embodying the Maison's iconic codes, each trunk is finished in Monogram canvas and features a golden V motif – symbolizing “Victory” and “Vuitton”, while matching the splendor of the Ballon d’Or™ itself.
FIFA World CupTM
As part of its partnership with one of the world's greatest sporting events, Louis Vuitton has specially designed trophy trunks for the 2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups™. The Trophy Trunk has been carefully crafted to protect the sought-after trophy’s 6.175 kilograms of 18-carat gold and malachite. A gracious and intelligent means of transporting and displaying football’s greatest prize, this elegant case continues Louis Vuitton’s 160-year association with legends: from royalty, writers, explorers to the most recognizable trophy in the world.
37th America's Cup Barcelona
Louis Vuitton is delighted to announce its return to the America’s Cup as the Title Partner of the 37th edition, renewing its commitment to a legendary journey. This year, two exclusive trophy trunk designs were unveiled — the first for the Louis Vuitton Cup during the competition's initial stage, featuring a trunk lined with ivory-colored fabric, and the second for the iconic Auld Mug, awarded to the victorious team, Emirates Team New Zealand. Blending craftsmanship and tradition, both trunks are distinguished by the iconic Monogram canvas and the 'V,' symbolizing both 'Victory' and 'Vuitton.
Formula 1
Grand Prix De MonacoTM
For the fourth year in a row, the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco™ Trophy has been awarded in a bespoke Louis Vuitton trunk, continuing the partnership between Louis Vuitton and the Automobile Club de Monaco. Crafted by three specialized artisans, the trunk showcases the Maison's savoir-faire and pays homage to the rich heritage of the esteemed race. Adorned with the iconic Monogram canvas in Monegasque red and embellished with a "V" for "Victory" motif, the trunk captures the essence of the race's unique track, boasting 19 turns across its 3 kilometer route.
Australian Open
Honoring the Maison’s long-standing commitment to tennis, Louis Vuitton joined forces with the Australian Open 2024 for the first time, as the event’s Official Trophy Trunk partner, creating two bespoke Monogram trunks to protect the event’s Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup (Women's) and Norman Brookes Challenge Cup (Men's). Displayed during the final tournaments and the prestigious prize-giving ceremonies, the two custom-made creations are lined in microfiber blue to match the competition's color codes, while a white AO logo features on the underside of the lid.
Davis Cup
In 2022, the Davis Cup trophy was presented in a bespoke Louis Vuitton Trophy Travel Case, marking the third year of the Maison’s collaboration with the prestigious tournament. Covered in the iconic Monogram Macassar canvas, the unique circular trunk sits atop the cup’s remarkable oversized base, opening at the top and on two sides to create a perfect showcase.
Roland Garros’ Suzanne Lenglen
Cup and Musketeers’ Cup
Louis Vuitton joined forces with the French Tennis Federation for the 2017 and 2018 editions of Roland Garros. The trophies were presented in their trunks before the kick-off finals match for both the Women’s Singles and Men’s Singles, and along court-side. The collaboration results in trunks adorned with the iconic Monogram canvas and a terracotta-colored interior evocative of clay, while a 'V' reminiscent of the lines on a tennis court adds the finishing touch.
Rugby World Cup
After an initial partnership in 2015, Louis Vuitton is once again the Official Trophy Trunk Supplier of Rugby World Cup France 2023 with a bespoke trunk for the coveted Webb Ellis Cup. Marking a new chapter in Louis Vuitton’s long-standing relationship with the Rugby World Cup, the hand-crafted trunk features the iconic Monogram canvas in the tournament’s colors, as well as the Roman numerals XV representing the number of players in a rugby union team and a Louis Vuitton leather lining in the same Pantone blue as the painted V detail, a first in the Maison’s history of trophy trunks.
NBA’s Larry O’Brien
Louis Vuitton specially designed trunks for the Larry O’Brien Trophy, given to the winner of the NBA Finals. Launched in 2020, the global partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA) established Louis Vuitton as the first-ever Official Trophy Travel Case provider, launching a new chapter in the Maison’s history of custom trunks. The case is coated in the emblematic Monogram canvas and adorned with the iconic V in white with blue and red details, as well as the NBA’s official dark blue color for the interior.
League Of Legends’
Summoner’s Cup
Louis Vuitton’s first E-Sport trophy case was first presented at the League of Legends 2019 World Championships in Paris. As part of a pioneering partnership with Riot Games, the Maison crafted an exceptional and innovative trunk for the World Championship of League of Legends, one of the most popular multiplayer video games in the world. Combining traditional savoir-faire and ultra-modern high-tech elements inspired by the world of League of Legends, the unique trunk comprises of five ultra-powerful LEDs for the opening ceremony World Championship Finals in Paris in 2019 and in Shanghai in 2020.
